Something Fishy Fish & Chips

Our mushy peas were frozen. Once I had defrosted them it was a cup of pale grey soup which tasted almost entirely of vinegar. Completely inedible. Shame as the fish and chips were fresh and lovely.

The fish was dry, got a fried banana it was black inside. Paid $41, for the amount I was given, it did not match the money I paid for it. It was disgusting! By far the worst fish and chips I’ve ever eaten. Squid was also tough, just not pleasant at all.

Really enjoyed my Spanish Mackerel and chips nice light crispy batter and good portion of chips. Great value for money.

Been coming here occasionally for the last 5 years. Generally just got Barramundi+chips and was always happy, but it's a nice safe option. Lately have been coming in a bit more regularly and have gone my way through the menu and everything has been excellent. Finally took the plunge and got potato scallops which can make our break fish and chips and I think a good guide for how well a chippy cooks things in general. These things come out the size of my face, wafer thin and unbelievably crispy. I think I experienced a new emotion while eating it... I'm calling it flaaaa. Everything here is great, even cheap cuts of hake tastes fresh and full of flavour, everything is cooked to that perfectly crisp golden flashes, the chips have the right amount of those little crunchy ones. Prices are great, staff are friendly, owners seem genuine and hard-working. I'd rate this overall the highest of the 8 fish and chip shops I know if in a 5km radius of my home.

Worst fish in Northern Suburbs, chips ok. Too many bad experiences with grilled fish. Latest one tonight 24/04/2023..grilled snapper hard as a rock. Into the bin, $36 rip off. Hope they read this.

Absolutely A for Awesome. I’m quite a fussy fish n chip person. This place rate it five stars. Not only are the people who serve you are so polite but the meal itself is fresh non greasy and this is for one person. Wow usually half the size I actually had leftovers. I got a kiwi hotdog, snapper n small serve chips. Look what I got in the pic. I definitely recommend this place to all my whanau and friends. Tino pai

Snapper didn't taste right. Do know what is was but was not nice at all. Chips ok. Potato scallops were Very good but paper thin.

Can't go wrong with the standard fish and chips. Good taste, well cooked fish, crispy chips. Very happy :)

Paid 52.00 for 2 dhufish and small chips and got brown dark flesh on thin fish. Been eating dhufish for 50 years and never have thrown it in the bin
